My love of gardening is deep rooted. Growing up, my family always had a huge vegetable garden and my mom had the prettiest landscaping. I enjoyed helping plant the flowers. As an adult, no matter where we have lived, the garden has always been a big part of our yards. When moved to our current home in the winter of 2014, I just couldn't wait to see what would come up in the spring! 

 

First blooming were a few daffodils and forsythia bushes followed by the lilacs, snowball bush and spirea. We worked tirelessly digging out wisteria that had crept everywhere and Rose of Sharon had self-seeded across much of where my garden currently is. We also planted hundreds of perennials and cleaned up the flower beds. After moving, we also started renovating our big barn and after a couple years of work we hosted several weddings in our yard and held receptions in our barn. That was a wonderful experience, but when we decided it was time to close down that venue.

After a season of praying about what I would pour my passion into next, flower farming and growing beautiful things was the answer. I already loved growing things, why not let others enjoy what I grow? I already had past design training as I had worked for a florist for 10 years early on in our marriage.
